Lamar Odom called Lakers owner Jerry Buss on Thursday night in an attempt to rekindle contract negotiations, according to a broadcast report.
The report came from Los Angeles television anchor Jim Hill on Friday night.
It was reported on Thursday that the Lakers pulled an offer for Odom off the table. The offer was a three-year, $27 million deal.
Odom hasn't lost hope that he could return to the Lakers, although they are believed to have moved on.
