A Lakers source told me the team had its sights set high, as usual, and planned to target the possible acquisition of Chris Bosh when it got closer to the 3 p.m. Feb. 18 trade deadline, and the Raptors might be more likely to move their Olympian/All-Star while still entitled to compensation. My source believes the Lakers will offer Andrew Bynum for Bosh (if they haven't done so already) well before the deadline expires.

so much potential.. so little desire.. i say trade his ass, although when he comes to play, he can play. problem is, he doesn't come to play every night. his hook shot in the middle of the lane is almost automatic and they won't have a center that can match up with the stronger centers.

I don't believe that Andrew Bynum is the problem.

Mr. Bryant is the cancer that's eating up the Los Angeles Lakers.

Yet without that cancer, Lakers die. Its more of symbiotic relationship

Then hopefully the Bynum/Bosh rumor isn't true and probably just a way to get Bynum all hyped up to play his best?

Ugly trade. Bynum is 22 years old. Some Rookies are older than him, when his time comes, he'll be ready

You dont make wholesale changes on a championship team.

If any moves are made they need to be minor ones.

Bynum stays.

I would wrap Bynum up, and stick a bow on his forehead and personally deliver him to Canada.

while Bosh may play harder than Bynum i don't think Bosh is that much more talented than Bynum. it might be a wash but who knows. Bynum just looks more comfortable when he has the paint all to himself, without Pau in there.

That is a cancer that every NBA would like to develop...a cancer with symptoms of winning, greatness and NBA championships.

"Ah, that's crazy," he said, smiling sheepishly. "I didn't know that."

According to this article, that was Bynum's reply when asked if he had even heard the rumor.

Forget about that non-sense. What they SHOULD do is use all that sign and trade bate. Anyone really besides Kobe, Ronron, Pau and Lamar and you go get Joe Johnson and sign him to a multi year. A Kobe and Joe Johnson back court is way better than any scenario here. Otherwise there's nothing you can do to get any better for longer.
