Is that why the Lakers didnt pick up Farmar's option for next year? If they felt he was the "future point guard" of the team they pick up his relatively cheap option instead of allowing him to become a restricted free agent.
Sorry, but Farmar fans are looking through either Laker or UCLA colored glasses. Im a UCLA fan and loved him in college; im only luke warm with him in the NBA.

I think you know my take on that....i would take any of these 2010 unrestricted free agents to be over Jordan Farmar for his position:
Acie Law, Devin Brown, Jannero Pargo, Luther Head, Earl Watson, Luke Ridnour, Chris Duhon, Nate Robinson, Willie Green, Steve Blake.
Some of these guys are more 2 than points but in the triangle they can play the 1 like BJ Armstrong and Ron Harper has in the past.

farmar is playing well this year. shooting the ball really well. if you want to get rid of someone, get rid of shannon. he is garbage. has his games but overall sucks. if he didn't have hops to make the kids go goo goo over him, he's an average player, at best. shooting is really streaky, makes horrible decisions and plays less defensive than farmar and fisher. with his athletic ability, he should be locking down people. he can't lock down his front door.

I would still take S.Brown over Farmar. He is taller, longer, stronger, more athletic and more upside IMO.
While it might appear that Farmar is shooting better, he actually is not; Brown 46% to Farmer 43%.
The only thing that I see that Farmar does better than Shannon is shoot from the outside and ball handling.
Farmar isn’t a creator on offense except for himself, doesn’t defend well and makes horrible decisions in crunch time.
I don’t believe either are the answer but if I pick one over the other I take Shannon.

Law, Brown, Pargo, Head, Watson are all 9th to 12th on the rotations...Ridnour, Duhon, and Blake are nice...and Nate is Great...Green is a SG

I'll take Head. Actually Lakers should just trade Brown, Fisher, Walton, Farmar, Sascha, Powell, Mbenga for that Lebron James dude in Cleveland.
Since he will not resign in Cleveland the Cavs can use expiring contracts in the off-season.

I'd trade those two for a girl's outdoor basketball. Sascha and Adam should be playing in WNBA. Sasha probably still has nightmares of Ray Allen blowing past him in Game 5of 2008 Finals. I still remember him pouting on the bench. I remember Morrison crying on the court in a fetal position after his massive choke versus UCLA in NCAA Tournament a few years back. Ah, the memories.

Wasnt Ariza 9-12th in the rotation when the Lakers got him? Think about it.
Pargo, Watson and D.Brown have had success with winning teams in the past and still capable.
There hasnt been much proof in the NBA so far but Law looked solid as a clutch player in college. I still believe he has place in the NBA; good size for a pg and nice mid range shot...is fearless.
SG can play the PG position in the triangle.

The All-Star Game is a memory, but the Thursday afternoon NBA trade deadline is approaching quickly. The Bulls are discussing 25 or 30 scenarios, but so far nothing has jumped to imminent status.
One thing that might help is another blockbuster trade, such as Cleveland landing Amare Stoudemire from Phoenix. The Cavs have long been rumored to be dangling Zydrunas Ilgauskas and J.J. Hickson.
If the top team in the East makes a move, the top team in the West may feel pressure to follow suit. The Los Angeles Lakers appear to be the Bulls' best chance of moving Kirk Hinrich and creating more cap space for this summer's free-agent chase.
Both Kobe Bryant and Lakers coach Phil Jackson are fans of Hinrich and may be pushing management to make the deal.
So far, though, the Lakers have been reluctant to take on Hinrich, who has two years and $17 million left on his contract, unless they can unload Sasha Vujacic and his $5.5 million salary for next season.
The Bulls are hoping to get an asset in return for Hinrich, such as Lakers guard Shannon Brown. But when it comes down to it, both teams might have to compromise to get a deal done.
It's possible for the Lakers to give the Bulls all expiring contracts with a package of Adam Morrison, Jordan Farmar and Josh Powell.
