The Clippers announced Thursday afternoon that Mike Dunleavy has stepped down as head coach and that assistant coach Kim Hughes will assume the head coach position for the remainder of the season.Dunleavy will remain as Clippers general manager.

The Clippers just concluded a 2-6 trip with a loss to Atlanta on Wednesday night and are a season-worst seven games under .500.

Clippers President Andy Roeser said in a statement, "It just seems clear that the team needs a fresh voice and we hope the players will respond in a positive way."

HELL NO. Women are horrible at coaching a guys team. I know from expirence. I was in a city team once and i had a girl coach. She was always coaching zone defense, cutting to the basketball, never leaving your feet for defense and you know what i did? The opposite. Lead the league in blocks, boards, technicals, and fouls. I had a game where i jumped from the freethrow line through 2 defenders, lead the game in every frikin stat and get sat down because i did that. Didnt play the whole 4th and lost by like 10.

We ended the season with a 1-11 record

yeah but when you have a team of 7 and no cares about defense and all they do is iso, its kinda hard. I remember we where up by 16 points at the half against the #1 team in the league and we ended losing by 20...wtf
