Lakers looking back at Nuggets?

Don't look now, if you're a Lakers fan, but the Denver Nuggets are within five games. Can the Nuggets overcome the defending champs to be tops in the West? "We're all aware of what other teams are doing around the league, how teams are playing and who's playing well collectively and individually," Lakers guard Derek Fisher said. "We're aware of how Denver is playing and how other teams are competing. But we know until you play that team, there isn't much you can do about it but focus on yourself."

Lakers arent looking back at Denver. The Lakers are only focused on finishing the season healthy and getting past Cleveland for the best record overall. I really dont believe that the Lakers think the Nuggets are a real threat even if they wont say it publicly.
The Nuggets are still a collection of dumb urban thugs that will make the wrong decision when it counts.

I'll be honest I did not watch my Los Angeles Lakers play this afternoon, as I was too busy rooting on Team USA (damn those Mother Canuckers!).
But Im looking at the box score and it reads like this...
Mr. Bryant 3-17 Field goals (Oh God, that's awful!), scoring 14 points.

“Bryant wanted to commemorate the previous play, which was Bryant drawing Denver’s defensive trap the way he was doing all second half and passing – this time with Gasol making the perfectly timed and spaced cut to find an attack zone in the lane. Bryant got the ball to Gasol, and he scored at the rim with an aggressive take for a 93-89 Lakers lead.
“Bryant was so moved by that savvy execution that he ignored Artest’s celebratory calisthenics to point his taped-up right index finger at Gasol’s heart and walk up to share an eye-to-eye moment with his co-star.”

The nuggets are in the Lakers rear view mirror...barely.

Don't forget Kobe's 12 assists..........What's awful is that Pau only got 1 more point and 3 more rebounds than a weenie named Nene. Nene also had 1 more assist, 1 less turnover, 2 less fouls, a higher shooting percentage, and a higher free throw percentage. Looks to me like Pau was outplayed by a piece of shit.
