At first I thought they where out, but than who would you put in. The two teams I hear the most of are st Marys and San Diego State.
Arizona beat San diego Stat e head to head 65-56
Arizona also beat Gonzaga who killed Staint Marys in their tournament.
Either way I am way more excited aobut the NCAA tournament, I have thursday and Friday off for vaction days.Go Cats! Beat Utah.

yeah but...

The Aztecs (23-9) had the highest RPI at 34 of any team that didn't make the NCAA tournament.

Ya that is one pretty stat and if that is all you have to go on I could understand it. But the Cats actully played the Aztecs and beat them, so stat or no stat I think the correct decision was made.

Play in games are for the teams that are only there because they one some small conference.

Not sure about the correct decision but maybe a little bit of a preference of a team with a streak....

More like understanding who has talent and who does not. I don't think the teams in the play in games could beat very amny teams, even in the NIT. I think Arizona has a chance to take out #5 Utah, I do not think you could say the same for the play in schools. I think I saw one of them play in their conference final and they are not that good.

I was hearing I believe Jay Bilas state that it was between St. Mary and Arizona and because St. Mary had an injury to a key player at the end of the year they were left out. They do consider injuries to teams when seeing who gets in and out and what seeding they are to receive.
